FICIE has always focused on emerging talents that had no easy way out in the festival circuit, increasingly numerous and competitive. On the other hand, we give our audience the opportunity to see a type of cinema that does not arrive due to the distribution of the usual cinemas. Now, as of this year, FICIE focuses on filmmakers as such, in all the film trades, each of them indispensable for the final work to reach our screens!

We raise the prizes up to 14,500 euros. Yes, the Hort del Xocolater Public Prize has risen to 1,000 euros because in recent years we have seen that some of its winners have had an extraordinary tour in international festivals such as Marta de Lucía Forner. We are lucky to have a very dedicated and experienced ilicitano audience!

We continue to count on the collaboration of Filmin so that the short films that have entered our Official Section and so wish to be screened on this independent VOD cinema platform. There will be a return for the authors: 60% for them and 40% for Filmin. Every step makes way …

We are working on numerous parallel activities focusing the main thing in the month of July, our month but also throughout the year. FICIE intends to have a continuous activity, we started last year: script, documentaries, industry, television series. There is much we want to offer for our audience and our authors. We will tell you little by little.

Yes, as always, we respect the rights and wishes of each author. In FICIE you can participate both in open (the jury and the public will see it) and in private (only the jury will see it). What you will see are not all who are but part of who they are!
