‘Where you can’t reach’ Finalist to represent Spain in the UNICA World Competition 2019 (Netherlands).
“ Where you can’t reach” is part of the Official Section of the 82nd State Unica Selective Non-Professional Video Contest, whose objective is to select in its program the short films that will represent Spain in the World Contest of the International Union of Non-Professional Cinema (UNICA), which will take place in Zeist (Holland). The screening will take place on Monday, May 13, at the CEC Assembly Hall, at 7:30 p.m.
“Where you can’t reach” is a Finalist to represent Spain at the UNICA Festival 2019, a festival that will take place in Zeist (Holland). The film has been selected for the official list of finalist films in the 2019 SELECTIVO UNICA ESPAÑA, along with another 29, out of a total of 151 presented. Among these, a jury will prepare the 60-minute program that will represent Spanish cinema at the UNICA World Competition to be held in Zeist (Holland), next August. The competing works will be screened in the Assembly Hall of the EXCURSIONIST CENTER OF CATALUNYA, Calle Paradís nº 10, Barcelona.

UNICA is an independent international organization, a member of the General Council of UNESCO, in which the Federations or national representatives of non-professional cinema of each of the member states are grouped, with the purpose of promoting non-commercial cinema, giving their support for cultural cooperation between nations, represent affiliated Federations and defend their independence and freedom of expression.
The CEC represents Spain in the International Union of Non-Professional Cinema (UNICA) and every year this event is held to select a program that represents the State. Each year, UNICA convenes in a different country a worldwide competition. In order to choose the video games that must be represented in Spain, the Film and Video Section organizes the State Non-Professional-Selective Video Competition UNICA. There is extensive information on this organization on the web. Our delegate at UNICA is the filmmaker Jan Baca, who is also a member of the committee of this organization. In the same room of acts the public deliberation of the jury is made and the reading of its verdict. With the awards ceremony the selected program is projected.
